Subnautica 2 Tailings Village — Location, Loot & Blueprints
Tailings Village in Subnautica 2: head east into the Graveyard (80–150m) to scan the Tadpole Fragment, a Processor and furniture blueprints — mind the Marrowbreach.

What is the Tailings Village?
The Tailings are the degenerated descendants of the Axum. The Axum built great works like the Karakorum Power Plant and the Observatory using biomaterial technology; after a catastrophe tied to the World Tree, their descendants regressed into the Tailings — who now get by with spears and salvage rather than their ancestors' engineering. The Tailings Village is their cluster of crude huts, packed with scavenged gear, and one of the best early scan stops in the area.
Where is the Tailings Village?
Biome: the Graveyard
Route: from the lifepod, swim due east (heading ~108°) and you'll reach the village.
Depth: about 80–150m, perched above a hot, geologically active cave as a cluster of crude nonhuman huts.
💡 Search "尾族" (Tailings) on the interactive map to see the settlement and every furniture-blueprint point.
What to scan & grab
The Tailings scavenged from both the Axum and Alterra, so the village is a grab-bag — treat it as a one-stop scan run:
- Tadpole Fragment — key to progressing the Tadpole.
- A Processor — scanning it unlocks the Room blueprint, a prerequisite for base building (no separate trip to the Alien Ruins needed).
- A Power Transmitter and other salvaged equipment.
- Plenty of Tailing furniture / décor blueprints: carpet, table, barrel, chest, jars, drum, hanging jar and more.
- The "Shiny Thing: Tailings" databank log.
Danger: the Marrowbreach overhead
⚠️ A Marrowbreach lingers above the village and will descend the moment it spots you. Get in and out fast: scan the Tadpole Fragment, sweep the furniture and Processor blueprints, log the Survivors waypoint, then pull out before it takes interest. See the creature behavior guide for handling it.
Why it's worth the trip
The Tailings Village bundles the Tadpole Fragment, the Room blueprint (from the Processor) and a whole furniture set in one spot, all in the shallow Graveyard (80–150m) — a high-value stop you can clear while exploring. Lore-wise, it's also a key thread for understanding the rise and fall of the Axum and the World Tree catastrophe.
It also pairs well with a resource run: the Graveyard is the same hot zone where Sulfur spawns, so you can scan the village and stock up on Sulfur in one outing. Just bring heat resistance before pushing into the deeper, hotter pockets, and keep half an eye on your oxygen — the active cave below the village runs hot, and the surrounding Graveyard hides more than one threat.
