Subnautica 2 Processor — Recipe & What It Refines
Subnautica 2 Processor: build it with the Habitat Builder (Titanium ×2, Mild Acid, Copper Wire). It refines ingots, Strontium, acids, Glass and biofuel blocks.

What is the Processor?
The Processor is a base refining station that handles the "turn raw inputs into advanced materials" jobs. In short: ore → ingots, Celestine → Strontium, Salt → Glass, inputs → Strong / Mild Acid all happen here. It's the hub that turns "stuff you gathered" into "stuff you can use."
💡 It has a different job from the other two stations: the Fabricator makes items and food, the Modification Station installs vehicle upgrades, and the Processor handles refining and conversion.
How to build it
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Build tool | Habitat Builder |
| Materials | Titanium ×2 + Mild Acid ×1 + Copper Wire ×1 |
| Build time | ~26 seconds |
| Requires | A powered base room |
Only the Mild Acid needs making first (refine it from the Acidic Raion Pouch at a Processor or Fabricator); everything else is an early staple. Build one early so your progression chain can keep moving.
What it refines & converts
| Category | Outputs (selection) |
|---|---|
| Ingots | Copper, Silver, Gold, Titanium, Mangalloy and Plasteel ingots |
| Rare intermediates | Strontium (Celestine ×2), Germanium (from Lead/Silver) |
| Acids | Strong Acid (Sulfur + Gold), Mild Acid (Pouch / Pent) |
| Material conversion | Salt → Glass, Gold ↔ Silver, Titanium → Copper and other swaps |
| Fuel / medical | Biofuel Blocks (feces / fibrous pulp / Pent), First Aid Kit |
In other words, nearly every ingot and many key intermediates come out of the Processor. The material chains for mid-to-late vehicles, depth modules and mods all eventually route back to this station.
Placement & usage tips
Put the Processor near your storage so you can feed and batch-refine easily. Many conversions take time (Strontium is ~30s each), so queue several at once while you sort loot or plan your next dive rather than refining one at a time. It needs base power — see the Base Power guide.
Because so many chains end here, it helps to picture your base as three stations working together: gather raw materials, refine them at the Processor, then craft at the Fabricator or install upgrades at the Modification Station. Keep all three in one powered room and prepping for a deep dive becomes a smooth loop — feed ore in, pull ingots out, and build the gear you need without ferrying materials between bases.
FAQ
Q: How do I build the Processor?
A: With the Habitat Builder — Titanium ×2 + Mild Acid + Copper Wire, in a powered base room.
Q: What can it make?
A: Ingots, Strontium, Strong/Mild Acid, Glass and biofuel blocks, plus conversions like Gold↔Silver and Titanium→Copper.
Q: How is it different from the Fabricator?
A: The Fabricator makes handheld items and food; the Processor refines raw inputs into ingots and advanced materials.
Q: Where do I make ingots?
A: Copper, Silver, Gold, Titanium, Mangalloy and Plasteel ingots are all refined at the Processor.
Q: How do I use it efficiently?
A: Place it by your storage and batch-queue several conversions during downtime rather than one at a time on expeditions.
