Overview

Tripe-Bowl Raion (Raion calix). A colony of worms combined with slime mold characteristics. A glassy spicule houses worms similar to Earth's glass sponges — a raion. Feeds on drifting matter; worms also sting and kill meiofauna (small sea life 45nm–1mm). The base consists of a single enormous cell similar to Earth's syncytial slime molds, displaying a Voronoi pattern common to self-organizing biological systems — resembling cow's stomach lining. The tripe bowl's function remains unclear; optogenetic analysis cannot determine its genetic ancestry. Assessment: biological enigma requiring further research.
