Overview
Aeroshell sponge (tentatively Symphon aeroshell). A glowing sponge that resembles the cone of a heat shield on atmospheric entry. Feeds on microorganisms attracted to its light, especially in dark caves where it can be mistaken for the sun. Generates light through oxygen-fueled reactions using glassy fiber optics similar to Earth's long-lived glassy sponges. Often found associated with shootroot organisms.
